About the role 
Our Maintenance Officer at Warrawee aged care facility is responsible for managing day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the smooth operation of the facility through timely, efficient, and well-documented maintenance practices. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Overseeing and actioning all maintenance and improvement work to maintain a safe and inviting environment. 
  • Managing preventative, planned, and reactive maintenance programs in an organised and proactive manner. 
  • Ensuring plant, fittings and equipment meet regulatory and accreditation compliance standards. 
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and document all works completed. 

About you  
You take pride in maintaining well-presented, compliant, and welcoming environments and understand the importance of timely, well-documented maintenance in an aged care setting.  You work well both independently and as part of a team, using initiative to prioritise work while maintaining clear communication. 

The following is also required: 

  • Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role (aged care experience desirable) 
  • Sound knowledge of maintenance compliance, equipment safety and accreditation standards 
  • The ability to organise workloads, meet deadlines and keep accurate maintenance records 
  • Basic computer skills and confidence using maintenance request systems
