  • $30.63 - $31.52 per hour (dependent on experience) + 12% superannuation for the part time role
  • $38.29 - $39.40 per hour including casual loading (depending on experience) + 12% superannuation for the casual role
  • PM shift: 16.30-20.30 pm available most days. AM shift: 7.30-15.00 pm available occasionally to cover leave.

About the role
We are looking for friendly, reliable, and dedicated Kitchen Assistants to join our team at Warrawee community and help serve nutritious meals to our residents.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen, as well as assisting with various kitchen duties, including some food preparation.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintain safe food handling practices and compliance.
  • Ensure kitchens and equipment are clean and in good order.
  • Washing dishes.
  • Assist in maintaining stock control and rotation.
  • Assist with the preparation of food and beverages as required or as directed by Hospitality Services Coordinator and in accordance with food safety plan and relevant Acts and Regulations.

About you
You are kind and caring, with a genuine desire to help improve the lives of elderly residents. You enjoy working in a busy kitchen and take pride in your ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The following is also required:

  • Previous experience as a kitchen hand or similar role preferably in the aged care setting (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of food preparation and associated equipment
  • First Aid training (desirable)

About Warrawee Community
Warrawee Community offers a home-like environment for our residents, comprising of six single storey houses surrounded by lush gardens and grounds. The community is made up of 90 beautifully appointed single rooms featuring a bedroom with ensuite. Warrawee provides peace of mind for its residents whatever care level they choose.
