About the Role

As the Team Leader Venues Experience, you will play a key role in shaping memorable and positive experiences across Council-managed venues and open spaces. Leading a team of dedicated Facility Services Officers, you’ll foster a culture of service excellence, professionalism, and community pride.

This role blends hands-on coordination with strategic leadership, focusing on operational efficiency, service innovation, and a strong customer-first approach. You’ll be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, enhancing the accessibility and impact of our venues, and ensuring every visitor interaction is positive and lasting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of Facility Services Officers, promoting a culture of professionalism, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily operations across Council venues, ensuring facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use.
  • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring every interaction is welcoming and positive.
  • Manage rostering, resource allocation, and service delivery to meet operational needs.
  • Identify and implement strategies to elevate venue experiences and improve service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Council policies, OH&S requirements, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align venue services with organisational goals.

What You Will Bring

You are a proactive and people-focused leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about creating memorable experiences through place and service. You bring a strong background in customer service, venue or facilities management, and team leadership.

You will also need:

  • Proven experience leading service-oriented teams in venues, hospitality, events, or similar environments.
  • Strong operational coordination skills, including rostering and resource planning.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on culture-building and staff development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates and an Employee Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain for employment)
  • Current and valid drivers licence
