  • Rostered hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 1.30pm

About the role
The Occasional Care Team Leader will coordinate the operation of Carnegie Occasional Care and GESAC Occasional Care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, responsive services for children. The role will provide direct care, while managing administrative tasks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and Council policies.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure centre operation is customer focused and meets regulatory compliance
  • Organise staff rosters, ensuring that appropriate regulations are met
  • Create programs suited to the needs of children and families
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with the delivery of the education and care program

About you
You are a compassionate and organised leader with a strong understanding of child care principles, capable of providing high-quality, responsive services for children. With a balance of hands-on care and administrative expertise, you ensure compliance with regulations while fostering a safe and supportive environment for both children and team members.

The following is also required:

  • Qualifications according to Children's Services Regulations 2020 (Vic)
  • Recent substantial experience working as a team member in a leadership role in an early years' service
  • Successful assessment as Primary Nominee with the Department of Education prior to or within the first months of employment

Interview information
In order to best manage the selection process, all shortlisted candidates will be contacted before 3pm on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, to arrange an interview. The interviews will take place in person or by video conference between Thursday, 17 July 2025 and Monday, 21 July 2025.

Progressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include Employee Working with Children Check, New National Police Record Check, Preemployment medical assessment and Evidence of right to work in Australia.
