The People and Culture team supports our people to thrive at Glen Eira City Council, delivering strategic and operational people services that enhance staff performance, inclusivity, safety and wellbeing.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Coordinator Organisation Development plays a pivotal role in translating people strategy into action. You will provide specialist expertise across organisational development, learning and leadership capability, diversity and inclusion, performance development and change.

Key elements of the role include:

  • Leading a small, multi-disciplinary team and managing third-party providers to ensure value and impact.
  • Leading enterprise-wide learning platforms, programs and OD initiatives that support a skilled, capable and inclusive workforce.
  • Designing, delivering and evaluating a contemporary, blended learning and development curriculum that is accessible and user-focused.
  • Driving leadership, manager and supervisor development aligned to future capability needs.
  • Overseeing the Diversity and Inclusion portfolio, including delivery of Gender Equality Action Plan initiatives.
  • Supporting critical role planning and succession development.
  • Partnering across People & Culture to strengthen employee engagement, performance development and workforce capability.
  • Using data, metrics and insights to inform decisions and demonstrate outcomes.

About you

You’re a passionate organisation development professional with a contemporary mindset and a strong track record of delivering impactful people initiatives. You thrive in complex environments, enjoy collaboration, and are confident influencing stakeholders at all levels.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, Organisation Development or a related discipline (or equivalent extensive experience).
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide learning and organisation development programs.
  • Strong capability in designing adult learning experiences using evidence-based and data-informed approaches.
  • A highly collaborative style, with exceptional stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
  • The ability to work strategically while staying hands-on and delivery-focused.
  • Creativity, curiosity and an innovative approach to improving how people learn, grow and perform.
  • Proven people leadership experience and sound commercial judgement.
