About the role
As an Urban Planner, you’ll help shape Glen Eira’s future by assessing planning applications, providing expert advice, and delivering a customer-focused planning service. Your work will ensure our city remains vibrant, sustainable, and liveable for generations to come.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Process and prepare recommendations for planning applications and requests with a focus on negotiating well informed and quality planning outcomes.
  • Deliver efficient, customer-centric planning services within your scope of authority.
  • Prepare and present planning submissions at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal or other proceedings, with the guidance of the Coordinator Urban Planning.

What you will bring
We’re looking for a proactive planner who thrives on collaboration and values sustainable urban development. You’ll bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in town planning or a related field or relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of relevant planning legislation.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
