The Glen Eira Leisure, Program's Team is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help support and strengthen this meaningful community program. If you have a genuine desire to empower and engage people of all abilities within the community, then this is the perfect role for you!

  • $35.69 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) + Superannuation

 

About the role:

The Every Body Active (EBA) Program is dedicated to increasing access to physical activity by fostering inclusive environments where people of all abilities can participate fully. In this client-focused role, you’ll provide tailored physical and emotional support to help individuals thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting clients in accessing and using our facilities including the Health Club, Group Fitness classes and Aquatics/Hydrotherapy areas
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Performing safe and effective manual handling techniques
  • Encouragement, emotional support and connection between Support Officer and client 
  • Providing personal care (as required and agreed upon prior)

Training will be provided for these duties.

About you:

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Proven leadership experience and a track record of achieving results in the leisure industry, along with experience in a support role in disability services/ recreation services 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with people of all abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team that champions inclusivity and diversity
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the evolving needs of EBA clients and the program

Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant experience delivering leisure programs.
  • Comprehensive customer service experience.
  • Level 2 First Aid with CPR (or be willing to obtain)
  • Manual Handling Training (or be willing to obtain)
  • Working with Children’s Check (or be willing to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current Driver's license (desirable)
