About the role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will provide specialist building surveying expertise and support the delivery of efficient and effective statutory building services. You will coordinate building enforcement functions, manage compliance matters and contribute to proactive inspection programs while working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

About you

You are a qualified and experienced Building Surveyor with strong legislative knowledge, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You thrive in a regulatory environment, are confident managing complex compliance matters and can build productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

The following is also required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying with significant and diverse industry experience.
  • Currently registered as a building practitioner with the Building and Planning Commission in the category of Building Surveyor Unlimited (BS-U) with no limitations or conditions.
  • Extensive building compliance experience with strong knowledge of Victorian building legislation and contemporary building practices.
  • Relevant experience in residential and commercial assessment of building permit applications.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports and recommendations.
