About the Property and Leasing team
The Property and Leasing Team comprises a Coordinator and a Property and Leasing Officer, who together ensure the effective delivery of Council’s property management services. Acting as custodians of Council’s land and building assets, the team:
The team sit within our Legal, Risk and Governance Department which includes inhouse lawyers, risk managers and governance professionals. A benefit of being part of this department is that it will help build your exposure and knowledge to other legal, risk and governance areas and could provide opportunities for further professional development.
About the role
As the Property and Leasing Officer, you will be responsible for the management of Council’s property and leasing portfolio. You will be the key point of contact for leasing and licencing administration, working closely with community groups, sporting clubs and internal stakeholders.
In this role, you will be conducting property inspections and supporting tenants to meet their contractual obligations, while negotiating and managing leasing and licencing agreements.
You will also provide general property advice, assist with road discontinuance and property disposal processes, undertake property title searches, and contribute to property-related projects and working groups.
The work you do will directly support the services and spaces that bring our community together and contribute to what makes Glen Eira a great place to live, work and visit.

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in property management and leasing, particularly with community-based tenants. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills and are capable of working independently and collaboratively. You are committed to delivering high-quality service and have a passion for supporting the community.
