About the role
As a Parking Appeals Officer, you will assess and determine the outcome of appeals relating to parking infringement notices, ensuring decisions are fair and compliant with relevant legislation. You will also support the day-to-day operations of the parking infringement system, contributing to effective enforcement and community compliance.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Assess applications for internal review in accordance with Council guidelines and relevant legislation.
  • Undertake other duties relating to parking infringements in addition to the internal review process.
  • Implement and monitor the Infringement Management System and provide periodic reporting of activities and service.

About you
You bring sound judgement and thoughtful decision‑making skills, enabling you to assess parking infringement appeals fairly, consistently and in line with relevant legislation. You communicate clearly and respectfully, with the ability to explain complex decisions in a way that is easy for customers to understand.

You're comfortable managing sensitive or challenging enquiries, and you take pride in resolving issues and delivering a high standard of customer service. You're well organised and self‑motivated, you can manage competing priorities, meet strict deadlines and work effectively with minimal supervision. Relevant qualifications and/or experience in regulatory compliance, together with an understanding of infringement and court processes, will support your success in this role.
