  • $58.94 - $63.55 per hour (depending on experience) + 12% super + qualification allowance

About the role

As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse at Glen Eira City Council, you will support our high quality program by providing a range of efficient and comprehensive services to families and children which optimise their health, wellbeing, learning, development and safety.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Practice safely and competently according to the current Department of Health Maternal and Child Health framework.
  • Practice within the Glen Eira MCH service delivery model that is responsive, flexible, and accessible to the individual needs of children and families.
  • Identify children and families experiencing vulnerability, provide health information and facilitate early intervention through engagement with services.

About you

You are an experienced MCH Nurse with clinical nursing expertise and excellent communication skills. You are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of families and work from a strengths-based, family centred approach. You have a professional and enthusiastic attitude about working within a team as well as working independently.

The following is also required:

  • Current Registered Nurse (Div 1) and Registered Midwife with AHPRA with additional post graduate qualifications in Maternal and Child Health Nursing.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Maternal and Child Health Services or related area.
  • Current and valid Victorian Drivers Licence and road worthy vehicle.
