About the role
As the Early Years Project Officer, you will coordinate and lead a range of priority early years initiatives, including policy development, strategic planning, program design, and implementation. This role works closely with teams across the organisation to drive high‑quality, evidence‑informed outcomes for families with children aged 0–6 years.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Source demographic data regarding current and projected future characteristics of families with children 0-6 years
  • Facilitate family and child focused activities to meet Council Plan objectives
  • Assisting Council’s early learning services in required quality accreditation assessments and reviews 

About you
You’re a passionate early childhood professional who enjoys working with families, communities, and service providers to create meaningful outcomes for children. You bring strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and confidence in coordinating projects from idea to delivery.

You will also bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood and/or Graduate Diploma in relevant area
  • Experience planning and developing early years services and programs
  • Skills in designing, implementing, and evaluating inclusive early childhood initiatives
  • Ability to support committees, facilitate networks, and lead consultations
  • Strong organisational and project planning capabilities
