About the role

This part-time role isn’t just a front desk role, you’ll be the go-to person during your shift, making sure everything runs smoothly, supporting the team and ensuring patrons have a great experience every time they walk through our doors. At GEL, we are passionate about providing outstanding service to improve the health and wellbeing of our community and everybody is welcome!

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to Customer Experience staff during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently on open, midday and close shifts.
  • Deliver outstanding service to all members and visitors.
  • Handle customer complaints and complex enquiries with professionalism and care.
  • Prevent and resolve conflicts and escalate complaints as required.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming and professional environment.

 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Cultivate a supportive environment to guide the Customer Experience team towards success.
  • Work effectively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Have experience in retail and managing a fast paced busy team
  • Handle conflict resolution and sensitive customer interactions calmly and respectfully.
  • Be available to work opening, closing, and/or weekend shifts.
  • Have experience with Perfect Gym software and Point of Sale systems.
  • Perform duties as a Customer Experience Officer and be paid the relevant pay rate.
