About the team
The Information Governance Team has a proud history of servicing records and information management at Glen Eira City Council. As part of the Digital and Technology Services Department, the team is focused on delivering key strategic outcomes that will see a transformation of the Council’s information and management and records practices, moving beyond traditional approaches into a future defined by innovation, security and resilience.
About the role
The Information Governance Specialist will play a key role in the transformation of Glen Eira City Council’s information management practices with a focus on innovative, secure and resilient approaches.
With support from leadership, the role will be responsible for introducing innovative practices and technologies that align with the Council’s new Digital and Technology Strategy, ensuring information management becomes a dynamic contributor to organizational excellence and community value.

About you
As an experienced information management and governance specialist, you will have strong knowledge in records management legislation and standards, as well as demonstrated knowledge of Information Privacy Principles and Data Security Framework and Standards.
You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills to provide guidance and support to staff and external stakeholders.
