About the role
As our Senior Portfolio Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing complex data and providing strategic insights to senior management across all Glen Eira departments to drive strong decision making and project performance across our business, capital, and technology portfolios.

You will lead the development of a comprehensive reporting framework, support governance activities, and guide internal stakeholders in aligning project management efforts with Glen Eira’s strategic goals.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership, consultation, and motivation to Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and staff across all directorates.
  • Support the development and annual review of EPMO plans, ensuring alignment with Glen Eira’s broader strategies.
  • Develop and provide tools, templates, and guidance to support departments in effective project reporting.
  • Be a key contributing team member, managing a range of portfolio reporting projects and activities in partnership with internal stakeholders to deliver high quality outcomes.
  • Developing and presenting strategic reports.

About you
You will have extensive experience in strategic reporting and performance measurement and be confident in working with business intelligence tools and frameworks. Your capability for transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights, and clearly translating objectives to stake holders will be key.

Experience in local government operations, including legislative and regulatory requirements/ experience leading or influencing portfolio management in large organisations will be highly regarded for this position.

The following is also required:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or related discipline or less formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in preparing high level briefs, reports, issue papers, statistics and management tools around portfolio performance.
  • Experience in strategic, corporate portfolio data analytics, performance measurement, monitoring and reporting in complex organisations.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI (desirable)
