  • $42.89- $45.51 per hour including casual loading (dependent on experience) + superannuation for the casual role

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate skilled Cook who will engage and interact with our residents, and can prepare high quality, nutritious, homestyle meals that bring comfort and joy to our residents at Warrawee.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook according to menu
  • High standards for hygiene in all aspects of food handling, serving and storage and record keeping
  • Be responsive to changes required in menu preparation to meet resident dietary requirements.
  • Undertake clean as you go methods, provide organised work areas

Shift timings for the part time role:
Fortnightly rotating roster: Week 1: Monday 10:30 am – 6:30 pm & Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10:30 am – 6:30 pm & Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

Extra shifts available for leave coverage as required

What You Will Bring:

  • A passion for creating nutritious, homestyle meals that make people feel cared for
  • Pride in delivering high-quality dishes that meet diverse dietary needs
  • Commitment to food safety and hygiene standards in every aspect of your work
  • A collaborative, positive attitude and willingness to support and be part of a team
  • Qualification in catering or related discipline or significant relevant experience
  • Food Handling / Hygiene Techniques Certificate
  • Experience in aged care or healthcare is highly regarded, but not essential.

About Warrawee Community
Warrawee Community offers a home-like environment for our residents, comprising of six single storey houses surrounded by lush gardens and grounds. The community is made up of 90 beautifully appointed single rooms featuring a bedroom with ensuite. Warrawee provides peace of mind for its residents whatever care level they choose.
