  • Evening Shifts - Monday, Tuesday, 14.45 pm -22.00 pm
  • Night Shift - Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday, 21.45 pm - 07.15 am

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (Grade 5) to join our team at Warrawee, Council’s Residential Aged Care Facility.
Your role will involve coordinating clinical activities, leading a dedicated team, and working closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to enhance our care environment.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Strong leadership skills as demonstrated by communication skills, problem solving, adaptability to workforce needs and performance management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change taking into consideration the appropriate consultative process and operational requirements
  • To participate in the admission and orientation of new residents, their assessment and the formulation and maintenance of an appropriate multi-disciplinary Care Plan in consultation with the residents and their family
  • To oversee complex care areas such as infection control, wound care, eye care, continence management, diabetes management and to support care staff to manage the clinical care and wellbeing of residents.
  • To provide clinical supervision and support to all other care staff ensuring that staff practices reflect sound knowledge and understanding of ageing.

The following is also required:

  • Qualifications as a Registered Nurse (Grade 5) with current AHPRA registration
  • Substantial clinical experience in a Residential Aged Care setting
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards for Residential Aged Care and the accreditation process

Warrawee Community offers a home-like environment for our residents, comprising of six single storey houses surrounded by lush gardens and grounds. The community is made up of 90 beautifully appointed single rooms featuring a bedroom with ensuite. Warrawee provides peace of mind for its residents whatever care level they choose.
