About the role
Our Strategic Infrastructure Planner – Buildings and Open Space will bring vision, expertise, and innovation to how we plan and manage our assets. This role is critical for integrating climate risks into lifecycle planning, ensuring our buildings and open spaces are resilient and future-proof.

You will provide expert advice and leadership across the organisation, influencing decisions that shape our community.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies, policies, and programs for asset management, while influencing capital planning and sustainability initiatives.
  • Overseeing the Asset Management Framework, managing consultants and contractors, and guiding renewal and disposal proposals.
  • Leading lifecycle modelling, ensuring accurate reporting, and promoting continuous improvement and best practice mindset.

About you
You are a strategic thinker with the ability to create sustainable, future-ready spaces. You bring a strong mix of technical expertise and leadership skills, and you’re comfortable influencing decisions. You also have previous experience in asset planning and management and thrive on solving complex problems and turning challenges into practical solutions.

The following is also required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Sustainability, or Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
  • Relevant experience in asset planning, strategy, and management for buildings and open spaces.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of policy development and integrated water management.
