About the Role 

As a Lifeguard at Glen Eira Leisure, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of every patron. From supervising aquatic areas to responding to emergencies, enforcing safety guidelines and maintaining high facility standards, your attention to detail and friendly approach will make a real difference in the community.

This position is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within a fun and supportive team. Learn and develop invaluable and highly transferable skills in prioritisation, critical thinking, dispute resolution, working as a team and much more.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervise patrons in and around the aquatic areas.
  • Ensure customers adhere to centre rules and policies and Watch Around Water protocols.
  • Ensure pools are appropriately set up for various aquatic activities.
  • Implement emergency/first aid/resuscitation procedures as required.
  • Perform a range of cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Interact with patrons in a friendly and helpful manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Australian Pool Lifeguard Qualification 
  • CPR Qualification [HLTAID009]
  • First Aid Certificate [HLTAID011] 
  • Employee Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check (willing to undertake) 
  • Pre-employment medical (willing to undertake)
