About the role

As a Member Experience Consultant, you will be at the forefront of our membership growth efforts. You will be responsible for driving membership sales, building relationships with potential members, and providing exceptional customer service. Your goal is to ensure that every member who walks through our doors finds their perfect health, fitness and aquatic solution with us.


Key Responsibilities

  • Qualify leads and assess prospective members needs to match our services effectively.
  • Interacting with customers via multiple channels, strengthening member connection, ensuring consistency of member experiences.
  • Engage in consultative selling techniques, to understand customer needs and find solutions through the services offered.
  • Implement membership sales strategies to  achieve membership targets within set timeframes.
  • Conduct initial introductions, presentations and tours of the facility.
  • Research and identify potential clients and markets.
  • Build relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Provide expert advice and tailored recommendations based on client needs and industry trends.
  • Gather feedback from members and use it to enhance future sales strategies and service offerings.
  • Work closely with marketing and customer service teams to align strategies and improve the customer experience.
  • Ensure that minimum standards are met for the GEL Service Improvement Program
  •  


    What you will need

  • Experience: Previous sales experience essential, particularly in membership- based or subscription services.
  • Skills: An ability to qualify leads and implement effective sales strategies to drive results
  • Passion: A genuine interest in sales, with an enthusiasm to achieve membership goals and targets.
  • Initiative: Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative in reaching out to the community and generating new leads through networking, tours, and outreach efforts.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate our members’ schedules.
  • Qualifications: Current CPR certificate and Employee Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain prior to employment.


Pre-employment checks

Progressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include:

  • Providing an Employee Working with Children Check
  • Completing a new National Police Record Check
  • Undergoing Pre-employment medical assessment
  • Providing evidence of right to work in Australia.
