  • $28.55 per hour (depending on experience) + 12% superannuation

About the role
The Occasional Care service at Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) provides high-quality short-term care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years whilst parents use the facilities. Sessions run Monday to Friday between 9am and 12pm, also during the school holiday period. 

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Occasional Care Educator, you’ll:

  • Create engaging play‑based experiences that support children’s learning and development
  • Build warm, positive relationships with children and their families
  • Set up inviting rooms and resources to suit the day’s activities
  • Support children’s cognitive, physical, social, emotional and language development
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and incident documentation
  • Pack up, clean, and leave the room ready for the next exciting session

About you
You are a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator who delivers high-quality, child-focused care and education. With a warm, caring personality and excellent interpersonal skills, you work collaboratively with families and staff to create a positive environment.

The following is also required:

  • Minimum qualification required is a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care however a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred
  • Experience in early years education and care
  • Detailed understanding of the Victorian Children’s Services Regulations and associated laws
  • Current CPR and First Aid qualifications (including Anaphylaxis and Asthma management)
