About the role

In this role you will partner with several business units, supporting them to develop and implement integrated people strategies that align with Glen Eira’s organisational goals.

Your expertise will help guide leaders and managers through a variety of people-related matters including: employee relations, workforce planning, talent management, organisational development and change management.

As a trusted advisor, you will also provide support on recruitment, industrial relations, performance management, and organisational change. You will possess the necessary skills to influence key decisions and ensure that employee and organisational needs are met with professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Supporting organisational planning, performance, and capability development.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of position descriptions and classifications to ensure each role is accurately assessed according to the established classification criteria.
  • Contributing to business, organisational and resource planning.

How you’ll make an impact

You will have the knowledge in HR best practices and a genuine passion for mentoring and supporting others. Your ability to build meaningful, collaborative relationships with leaders as well as employees, navigate complex challenges, and communicate with empathy and clarity will be key.

Your strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with your capacity to resolve sensitive matters with care, will make you a highly valued member of our team. You have complex comprehension of Human Resource policies and relevant legislation, paired with a proven track record in business partnering in a large and complex organisation.

The following is also required:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field/s with several years relevant experience or a lesser qualification with significant experience.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to manage sensitive or complex issues with care.
  • A proven ability to think laterally and solve complex problems.

  • New National Police Record Check
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia.
