About the Property and Leasing team
The Property and Leasing Team comprises a Coordinator and a Property and Leasing Officer, who together ensure the effective delivery of Council’s property management services. Acting as custodians of Council’s land and building assets, the team:
The team sit within our Legal, Risk and Governance Department which includes inhouse lawyers, risk managers and governance professionals. A benefit of being part of this department is that it will help build your exposure and knowledge to other legal, risk and governance areas and could provide opportunities for further professional development.
About the role
As our Property and Leasing Officer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of Council’s property and leasing portfolio,
You’ll be the go-to person for lease and licence management and administration, working closely with community groups, sporting clubs, and internal teams to negotiate agreements, inspecting properties, and helping tenants meet their obligations.
You will also be providing general property advice which includes helping to administer our road discontinuance and sales process, carrying our property title searches, providing technical property advice to staff and residents and getting involved in general property projects or working groups.
The work that you do will directly support the services and spaces that bring our community together and what makes Glen Eira a great place to live, work and visit.

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in property management, particularly with community-based tenants. You possess excellent communication and negotiation skills and are capable of working independently and collaboratively. You are committed to delivering high-quality service and have a passion for supporting the community.
