Job details:

  • Flexible work hours; weekdays and weekends
  • $32.10 per hour (incl casual rate)  + Super (junior rates apply)

About the role
This position is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and get your foot in the door to begin a rewarding career within the aquatic and leisure industry and local council.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise patrons in and around the aquatic area
  • Set up and pack up the aquatic area for various water activities
  • Implement emergency/first aid/resuscitation procedures as required
  • Ensure customers adhere to centre rules and policies
  • Perform a range of cleaning and maintenance duties

Successful candidates will have:

  • Ability to think on their feet and respond appropriately in high pressured situations
  • A passion and enthusiasm about providing a safe aquatic environment for all
  • A friendly and approachable disposition
  • Ability to interact confidently with a diverse range of people
  • Early morning, late afternoons and weekend availability
  • Have the following qualifications OR are willing to obtain
    • Current Australian Pool Lifeguard Award
    • Current Provide First Aid Certificate
    • Working with Children Check (Employee)

Short listed candidates will be invited to attend an interview and if successful, you will also be required to attend the following Pool Lifeguard qualification course subsidised by GESAC on

  • Monday 9 & Tuesday 10 January 2023 from 9am to 5pm at GESAC
