About the role 
We are seeking a diligent and passionate professional to lead, motivate and develop a high-performing Services Team which includes Street Sweeping, Store, Signage, Care Crew, Mechanical workshop and Graffiti staff!   

This role is a key leadership position within Works Depot team and you will be required to lead, guide, support, monitor and review the Teams work outcomes in line with Service Level Plans, Policies and Road Management Plan. 

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:   

  • managing Council’s Street sweeping contract and Council’s Mechanical workshop 
  • leading and development of multi-functional services teams 
  • overseeing the manufacture, installation and maintenance of street signs inhouse and street furniture maintenance in accordance with Council’s Road Management Plan  
  • ensuring a safe work environment and safe work methods are being followed 

About you 
In this key leadership role, you will draw on your track record leading and inspiring staff and creating a positive and motivating work environment.   

You will have advanced problem solving and negotiation skills and an understanding of contract management, budgeting and inventory management. 

The following is also required: 

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Management / Logistics/ Leadership and Management with several years of experience in leading similar services or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience in leading similar services. 
  • Understanding of Road Management Act and other relevant legislations. 
  • Knowledge of graffiti removal and cleansing techniques 
  • Employee Working with Children Check 
  • A current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
