The Public Affairs team brings together communications, media, digital content, design, advocacy, engagement and reporting specialists who work together to tell Glen Eira's story and strengthen connections with our community.

About the role
As a Communications Advisor, you'll shape how we connect with our community and tell the stories that matter.
Working as a trusted communications partner to designated business units, you'll provide strategic advice, develop communication plans and deliver engaging content that supports Council priorities and enhances Glen Eira's reputation. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to bring projects, initiatives and services to life through clear, creative and audience-focused communications.
No two days are the same. From developing campaigns and identifying media opportunities to creating digital content and supporting major community initiatives, you'll work across a diverse portfolio that makes a meaningful impact for our organisation and community.

About you
You are a confident and adaptable communications professional with excellent writing skills and a talent for building strong relationships. You enjoy working collaboratively, thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
You are proactive, solutions-focused and able to provide sound communications advice while considering organisational priorities, stakeholder needs and reputational impacts.
